The Christ on Campus Initiative (CCI) put out a good resource on Islam. Many Christians assume that Muslims and Christians worship the same God but this can be further from the truth.
Islam undermines the Scriptures and Jesus and the doctrine of sin. Thus, it is a religion of works, not that of Grace.

According to what I can see here, the main thing is the price of sin. See chapter 4. The secret is there but the author of the paper did not stress that point. This point shall be emphasized because it is the major stumbling block while giving gospel to a muslim. They do not have DEATH as a sin price thence there is no need for Jesus' death. I always pray and preach based on Ro.6:23
