The Underwoods came to Korea when Korea was still a hermit country. Richard Underwood, a great and great son of Horace Underwood who was the first missionary family to come to Korea resides in Urbana, IL, home of the University of Illinois.last Winter, he gave us a lecture on the early American missionaries to Korea.
