Friday Oct 1st, 2010 -Coffee and Christ outreach

Today is Oct 1st, 2010. Today is one of my friends birth day. His name in Hebrews means Jesus. He is 48 minus 20.
Happy 30 minus 2 or 20 plus 8 or 18 plus 10 birthday.

Not a good way to say when you are 28. But one birth is always good. Never gets old.

Jesus came to us. Salvation has come to us.

His birth is always new every morning. As Jeremiah said in Lamentations when he saw God's unfailing love, he said of Jesus like this:

Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."

October has come upon us. Happy October. Joe and Liz are doing outreach outside of Union and sharing coffee and Christ with U of I students. Patrick Cho who is a new Bible student and a friend of Jerry joined them and said, "I am happy to help them out."

The banners are designed by Jerry and the table clothe is designed by missionary Sarah Jun. Joe who is a nuclear engineering Ph. D. candidate makes radioactive nuclear, heart stopping espresso coffee. But his gospel articulation is far better than his coffee.
