Text:
Aleph
Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.Who are they? Can any men do such things? Perfectly obey God's law, precepts, and decrees and love God with all their heart? Is this Psalm about us or about Jesus the Son, God the Father and God the Spirit? We are always shameful but what can heal us? It is the law of God and his decrees. Our God has high hopes for us.
Blessed are they who keep his statues and seek him with all their heart.
They do nothing wrong; they walk in his ways.
You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.
Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!
Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.
I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.
I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.
This Psalm starts with God and then we can have hope in us. I thank God who sent his Son to us so that we can have hope to love God and obey him only and from our whole heart.
In this way, we can be blessed. Doubled blessed. We see God's grace here for us.
We have hope because God's love is unfailing and he is with us. He did not utterly forsaken us. So we praise God.
