Dr. Joseph Chung writes from Uganda:We are doing well by the grace of God and through the prayer and love of our co-workers in Christ. We give thanks to God for all that he has done here and in the African chapters. Here, it is indeed as the Lord has said,"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." He asked us to ask the Master of the harvest to send more workers.
We are going to have a joint Christmas worship service on Dec. 12, 2010. For so many years, Uganda UBF has not had a Christmas worship service since students go home during that time. Here, people celebrate Christmas as a family holiday and nothing more. But this year will be different because it is more than that. This year we will also be supporting the pioneering work of MUBS (Makerere University Business School) by Chinese missionaries.
Life here is very simple. Day after day our life is focused on God's flock and one-to-one Bible studies. M. Esther sings a song of her Bible students and new Bible students. Her joy and sorrow are related to them. She has prayed to double the ministry according to the prayer direction for UBF from Dr. John Jun.
We will visit Chicago for a week in Jan. 2011 and move to California to take care of our youngest daughter's second child. Also, I have begun to have a hearing problem. Here students speak in British English and Ugandan English. I understand less than 10% and Esther 20%. I want to solve this problem while in Chicago.
In Christ,
Joseph Chung
