Veritas Forum at U of I

Jerry Park, Grace Sun are working to bring the Veritas Forum to the campus collaborating with other student gospel organizations. The first video showing will be next Wed Oct 20th.

Pastor Tim who is the principal organizer told us to spread the news to our friends. Pastor Tim writes:

Friends of Veritas Forum at the U of I,

Please promote our first Veritas Forum event to your students and especially to any who might be interested in helping bring a Veritas Forum to the U of I. Next Wednesday, October 20, we will be showing a previous VF talk by Mary Poplin entitled, "Does God Belong in the University?" We hope to introduce students to the VF and to recruit more students to our planning committee. Please print out the attached file for your students. You can also direct them to our FB page of the event.

Let me emphasize that we want the VF to be a cooperative effort between the Christian groups on campus and that we will do our best to keep time commitments to VF low so students who do work with us can still fully participate in their primary groups.

Finally, we know this will probably conflict with some of your own events, but we can't plan around all the Christian groups on campus. Therefore our next event will be on a Tuesday night, November 16, which we hope to address especially to international students and which will focus on the issue of science and religion.
